As a Gullah culture keeper, Zenobia founded the Gullah Preservation Society in Georgetown County to reconnect the Gullah community to their African roots and intellectual inheritance. This reconnection takes many forms: a community garden that hosts plants of the African diaspora, her emerging practice with indigo dyeing and cultivation, and scholarship and research into the deeproots of Gullah culture in Georgetown and across the world.
